Summer Fun

This summer Ash n Me have been havin a blast livin off mom and dad and workin on the farms.
These pics are us at the Incubus Concert at Usana Amphitheater. The concert was really fun and we had a blast singing lyrics and losing our hearing. They were pretty good live.

I also have more proof that I am accident prone, which is another scar on my forehead. I got 8 stitches when I dove off the diving board and hit my head on the bottom of the pool at green canyon

This is Ash bein silly on the swings at a family get together. Nothin better than food and fun!

We also went to the Rexburg air show and got to see some cool planes. I think Mustangs are freakin sweet and we lucked out because there were two of them!

Heres a list of my favorites...please realize there might be several for each cause it's hard to decide. enjoy

1. Food - Lamb Chops...delicious! I would recommend having my dad cook some for you...

2. Candybar - Butterfinger

3. Sports Team - Phoenix Suns (pre shaq) i used to love Danny Ainge and Jason Kidd. I thought they were so cool.

4. Restaurant - Tie between Wingers and Texas Roadhouse Wingers because their ribs, sticky fingers, and amazing sauce are really amazing... and Texas Roadhouse because their ribs and steak are great, but their dinner rolls/scone thingys are to die for. They mix the butter with cinnamon or something and it rocks my world. Everytime I go there we always eat the first basket really fast. Then they bring you a new one and I shove them in a to-go box...mmm!

5. Band - Chevelle

6. Cereal - Cracklin Oat Bran, but most people don't know what that is so I just say Frosted Flakes

7. Movie - Funny Movie = Orange County I wish I could remember things from school as well as I can remember movie quotes. I could probably quote the entire movie. Serious Movie = Count of Monte Cristo if you ever watch it, don't give up half way through because it is boring for the first half... the ending is freakin awesome.

8. Soda Pop - Pepsi. when I was like 8 years old I used to get a big slam of pepsi (the 1 liter) every weekday in the summer. I remember they were $1.04. I don't know how much I spent total but it was probly a fifth of my savings. another favorite is Stewart's Black Cherries and Cream, but that is kindof harder to find.

9. Game - LIFE, the really old one where you spin the wheel and then you move your little car with all of the little pins that represent your family... it's kindof old, but spinning the wheel was almost as fun as winning the game.

10. Book - favorite non-religious book has got to be Where the Red Fern Grows. Probably becuase it is one of the like 3 books I've ever read.

11. My favortie number is 11. I don't know why I chose that other than that is the number I wore on my basketball jersey in high school.

12. Winter Activity - Snowboarding Part of the reason that I love snowboarding is because I had more time to snowboard in the winter because we weren't doin a whole lot on the farm when it's 30 below in Mud Lake. The other part is it's really fun and I get to wear my sweet shiny fireman pants that are totally waterproof. I love it. If you wanna see what I'm talking about just invite me to come and prepare to be amazed/embarrassed for having me in your group

13. Summer Activity - Dirt Biking it sucks living in Utah because I don't have anywhere to put my dirtbike, so I'm gonna have to go on a couple trips this summer and go ridin.

14. Doughnut. Chocolate Frosted with sprinkles. I love doughnuts. Maybe I should be a cop...

15. Cracker. Chicken in a Biskit

16. Sandwich BLT without the Tomatoes. Bacon, Lettuce, Tons of Mustard, a little Mayo, banana peppers, olives, pickles, salt (no pepper), oil and vinegar, and jalepenos if you like em... it's delish!

This is Ken Block who is the main name in World Rally Cross. (it's an off road racing that is freakin sweet) He broke his back on the last day of filming this stuff at a resort in New Zealand. He went a little too fast and overshot a jump. He won first place at a race the next weekend. Not bad.

Okay ever since I rode in a Subaru WRX I've thought that they are freakin sweet. (Don't worry Ashley I'm not gonna try this when I get one) But i'm thinkin that i might have to buy one in the future cause they are fast.

5 Things Most People Don't Know About Me

1. The only two concerts I've been to are Styx and Grand Funk Railroad... and Gladys Knight, but I don't really count that becuase that was more like a musical devotional.

2. My middle finger on my right hand is kind of messed up. I crashed my 50 on a paved road and cut my tendon and buggered it up pretty good. Now I can't straighten the end of my middle finger all the way.

3. I've driven a fanboat. One of those ones that they use in swamps and stuff.

4. When I was little I wanted to be a candy bar taste tester... Still wouldn't mind it, but just haven't found any open positions yet... please let me know if you hear anything.

5. I hate scary movies. I just think they're dumb. I can watch them and everything, but I just don't really enjoy them at all.

And that's why the right window on my pickup is tinted and the left window isn't...

This last week has been pretty dang crazy. The craziness began I think Tuesday when I walked outside to go to school and found that my truck had been broken into. Now, where once sat a nice CD player with hookup to my ipod, exists a big gaping hole with some broken plastic mounts with wires hanging out. They jacked my GPS and my CDs too. The CDs weren't too big of a loss because I think I have all of them on my ipod that they luckily missed when they ripped my deck from the dash. I don't get it though, who on earth likes the same CDs that I do? What do they do with those? Can you sell them on the internet for cash?... I don't even think anyone would buy a burned CD called "Jordans Rock Mix"... As for the rest of the stuff I'm sure someone will get a good deal on some electronics on ebay or at a local pawn shop.
The rest of the day was spent at school taking a test, having my window replaced, and you guessed it participating in a gladiator game at the intermission for a Utah Grizzlies hockey game. A friend of mine needed someone to come and I just happened to have a few spare minutes... the rest is history. I ended up with free pizza, a puck that flew out of the rink and landed right next to me, and bragging rights. Driving to school is really different. Once in a while I sing to myself to have some music in my pickup...but it's just not the same. I don't know what insurance will do and stuff but it was definately a new experience. It was kind of funny when Ash and I went to the Mud Lake Market over the weekend and we locked the car before going in to get some groceries. Right after we locked the car we realized what we did and we laughed. Now all that is left to do is find out which one of my neighbors stole my stuff.

Rise and Shout!

Last Saturday we headed to the BYU Marriot Center for the BYU vs Utah game. The place was absolutely packed with a lot of crazed fans. I found out that there were students camping outside the Marriot Center since last Monday to get into the best seats. Luckily my dad has season tickets in the 12 row so we still had good seats.

Luke.... Fredette is your father! Luke obviously struggled to make some baskets that he usually hits and ended up only scoring 9 points. Miles did a great job keeping him under control and the entire team helped get him frustrated. Cummard skyed up for a sweet block in the second half. Fredette ended up with 25 points (many of which were right in Luke's face). The cougars trailed in the first half, but with a serious of great plays early in the second half the cougars pulled out front as the crowd went abso-freakin-lutely wild. The team finished strong and they made most of their free throws to seal the deal. Cougars defeated the Utah stinkin Utes in a homecourt victory 63-50. It was such a great game that even some of the weak sauce fans stayed till the end, even though they knew they'd have to endure the traffic... Go Cougars!

We decided to celebrate with some delicious BYU Creamery Roasted Almond Fudge. Best ice cream in the world. I would recommend going to get some anytime.

last night ash and i went to the draper temple open house. it was pretty fun and we loved havin the time to go. i had been craving some food from wingers so we ended up stopping at one for some grub. super delicious. i recommend the sticky fingers wrap. mmmm. anyways while we were at the open house we were enjoying some refreshments and stuff at the stake center while we were waiting for our bus, we saw a flyer thingy that said motab rehearses thursdays at 8. so we decided to hit it up on the way home. we showed up early so we walked around and hung out at the visitors center. then we got to go and i heard the mormon tabernacle choir for the first time in my life! it was awesome. so i'm going to try to go to conference or one of their broadcasts so i can hear them for real when they aren't rehearsing.

hurry up spring!

im a nerd at the byu salt lake center right now and sometimes i get tired of homework and school. i have been day dreaming a lot about having some fun. ash and i have been getting fat on chili cook offs at church and makin cookies at home. yum! i just can't wait till this semester is done this week we get to go to the byu utah ball game and hopefully the cougars will pull it off. (don't forget to pray for the cougs) so since i am stuck in memory lane of summer fun i thought i'd put some stuff on here i am excited for.

this is ash and me at the conference center. i'm squinting super hard not to go blind cause it was a great day outside. i can't wait for warm days outside and for conference this year. i might actually get to go for the first time ever! i am soooo excited to have some summer fun with ash here in utah!

this is when ash and i went to the greenbelt. she rollerbladed and i rode my bike. we went there it like 3 or 4 times last fall. it was lots of fun and i can't wait to ride my bike around slc. hopefully i can find some bmx tracks nearby.

This is "Cuu Rotz" and me at the dew tour in salt lake last summer. it was pretty dang fun. this is while we were watching the freestyle competition. this summer is going to be lots of fun with all of the events that will be here in utah. ash n me are stoked.

finally i really want to ride my dirtbike again. i hear stories of my friends shreddin on their fifties and it makes me really miss ridin. especially becuase it's warmer here in utah already. i'm getting the itch to go ride real bad. can't wait for summer weather and summer fun!

Here is my fender Strat sittin in the new pad. I have been learning to play guitar since I came back from the mission. I don't play a lot of songs that most people are familiar with other than a few riffs of Sweet Home Alabama and some older 70's songs. Other than that I kind of play hard rock and a lot of Incubus and goof around while I have a minute.

Not exactly the factory color of tank, but you can hardly tell it's faded.... oh wait I mean you can hardly tell where it's not faded. The sun oxidized the plastic or something like that and it is causing some nasty fading.

Now you can hardly tell a difference between the tank and the plastic. It's amazing what some scrubbin and a little WD-40 can do! Hopefully it will last. So Nick this ones for you because you have always been there for me...and for all those times you let me ride your motorbike while you were on your mission and you didn't know about it. I got my brother's motorbike from him when I went down to Utah because it was just sitting there outside rusting away. I put it in the shop out of the sun and rain and I'm trying to give it a little TLC.

Road Hogs

Here are my springs from my 50 and they are in pretty dang tough shape. My front fork springs are both broken, one in half and one into three pieces. The rear shock that is in the middle of the picture blew the seal and lost all the oil too so... yeah time for some heavier suspension.

This is my freaking sweet hog my CRF 50. Right now it is in shambles because I have ridden it too much and I am too big, so it is due for some serious repairs

Here is my CR 250. I got it this spring and have rid just a little bit. It's been good.

This is my girlfriend Ashley and I on our fly rides that we got this year. Ashley got her fancy beach cruiser for her birthday this summer and we go ride around when we can.
